Wenonah 5th Grade Assembly – “Be the Leader Your Dog Thinks You Are”
We had an incredible time with the Wenonah 5th graders during our “Be the Leader Your Dog Thinks You Are” assembly. Together, we talked about what real leadership looks like—paying attention, not ignoring classmates, and making sure everyone feels seen and welcomed. We reminded students that we don’t need to know what someone is going through to be kind; it’s enough to assume that everyone could use a little extra kindness.
The Peer Educators from Sachem North were especially proud to give back to their alma mater, sharing lessons they’ve learned and leading by example. It was a powerful reminder that leadership isn’t about being the loudest in the room—it’s about how you make people feel.
